pffffffffffah! i can breathe again . god bless america -- for stuffing propaganda down my throat all day long, but at least their arrogance drove me AWAY from the television . i caught one reporter saying "these events have attracted those from all around the world" or something along those lines... WELL IT'S KINDA HARD NOT TO WHEN YOU OWN 90% OF ALL THE TV NETWORKS AND YOU PLAY YOUR PATRIOTIC SNATCH CRACK ARROGANCE ON EVERY FUCKEN CHANNEL . for fuck's sake . yes AMERICA, you have my undivided attention . YES, i could turn my tv off, lock myself in a bomb shelter, stick cotton swabs in my ear, blind myself, and i bet you'd still be able to get your message across to me that you are the most powerful nation in the world and nobody should fuck with you . that i should put an american flag up in my window, even though i don't live in america, i don't like america, i don't trust america . FUCK IT, i hate being mad .
it's my birthday in 3 days and a handful of hours . that's 21 years now, that i have absolutely no recollection of . i'd pat myself on the back, but ... what was i talking about? i bought a book today because it had a pretty cover and was calling my name out in the newly released fiction section;
the frog king : adam davies it's another one of those ... anti-urbanite, anti-trendy, bright lights, big city, take your pants off and fuck me books that ironically are trendy these days . henceforth; i don't give a shit either way cuz new york is 3500 miles away, suffering from its' own newly regained view of the sky (courtesy of mr. bin laden [so 'they' claim]) . i'm 30 +/- pages into the book, and i'm enjoying it . witty, simple, relatable . it's the same story everytime; some kind of editor finding love, fucking new york, spilling a green apple martini on a transvestite degenerate . but it amuses me . i guess because, it is me ... so to say ... did i mention the cover is pretty? ... i almost bought a book by
wei hui : shanghai baby, one of those "bad" books that the world supposidly isn't ready to read . the commies over in china seized tens of thousands of copies of the book and burned them . although it won't be as 'risque' here in canada, it would look nice in my library ... i haven't read it, but it looks like something that would sit nicely next to
henry miller's : tropic of capricorn, which i stole from work almost a year ago . another book condemned for it's content, back in the 50's i think ...? i find an interest in reading about stuff that was outrageous 'back in the day' . it's a reality check for me . it helps me look at the world and say "oh...fuck...someone needs to murder brittney spears..." .
on a lighter note, i'm looking forward to being in my late 60's ... i'll have at least 1 cane, a cheap suit, and a bad attitude . i can't wait to tell kids off .
